Multi-Congregational Taskforce
Multi-Congregational Taskforce A growing number of Nazarene Churches are sponsoring a new church by sharing their building. All across the USA and Canada congregations are networking to discover ways to better use their church properties for building the Kingdom and winning new people to Christ. A new Multi-Congregational Taskforce met for their first session in May 2003 to further develop intentional efforts for starting new churches by sharing church properties. Chairman Ian Fitzpatrick leads this team of regional leaders who serve as resources for churches and districts interested in this ministry model. Conservative projections suggest at least 500 new Nazarene Churches could be started by existing Nazarene churches opening up their properties in sponsoring a new church. The taskforce offers these beginning steps of explanation to assist pastors and churches as they move into this effective ministry. Mission Statement for Multi-Congregational Taskforce Starting Churches by Sharing Spaces “A Multi-Congregational NewStart is when two or more congregations/ ministries, that are unique in worship styles, either by language or culture, share a common property in starting a church to fulfill the mission of the Church of the Nazarene.” Multi-Congregational Taskforce Committee
