Unique Mission

BALIKATAN (Shoulder to Shoulder): A Vision for the Next Quadrennium from the Filipino Ministries Committee
The vision of the Filipino Ministries of USA/Canada for the next Quadrennium so that we can encourage open communication and mutual assistance. In the Philippines, we use the word, “Balikatan”, which means “shoulder to shoulder” to communicate the idea of cooperation in order to meet common goals. The relationships built during this time of fellowship can help greatly in establishing this vision.

Prayer and Fasting - That we will encourage each church to organize a 21-day fast specifically for direction and guidance in the planning for the new church starts. (The Strategy Team will develop and provide the materials and guidelines).  Develop an annual prayer calendar in which each Filipino church will be prayed for by all the other churches. (Prayer calendar will be developed by the Strategy Team)

Leadership Development  - Identify and recruit workers to be trained to start the new churches and that each existing church identify persons within their congregations with a calling for church planting by November of 2013. A Church Planting Training for these prospective workers by Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) will be held on June 2014. Establish a relationship with the district superintendents of the target cities and work with them to develop church planting strategy.
